When a customer walks into your store and wishes to create a registry, you can setup their registry using an iPad or a desktop/laptop computer and then hand them the scanner and allow them to walk around your showroom selecting items. All the customer has to do is press one of the three orange buttons on the scanner to activate the high-resolution laser barcode scanner. The item's barcode is scanned and the item is added to their registry. At the same time that the customer is adding items, they are appearing in their online registry.
